ABOUT ME
Hi there!
My name is Avina Al and I moved to Melbourne from Sweden in early 2015 with the aim to learn, explore and enjoy this beautiful country.
My early change/project management experience in complex environments set me up with the capabilities to deliver in a somewhat chaotic (some call it startup) environment, always leading with customers in mind.
For the past 7 years, I've been specialising and learning about tech product development, as I believe scaleable technology changes the world at a fast and exciting pace.
Lately, I've been focusing more on the discovery phase of a product, reconnecting with how our core human needs impact the development of a solution. Human nature and our needs evolve slowly. - Successful product development is how we respond to those needs in new and thrilling ways - as explained in a favourite book of mine called "Don't make me think" by Steve Krug.
I'm lucky to currently be working in a Change & Optimisation role at Property Exchange Australia (PEXA) - An Australian unicorn.
I work closely with our financial institutions on all phases of product management and operational excellence.
From Phase 1 like pretotyping ideas (ask me for more info on the methodology), validating problems, building out investment cases, stakeholder management.
Phase 2 e.g. reviewing technical solutions and finalising CX/UI.
Phase 3 e.g. functional product specifications.
Phase 4 e.g. product messaging, marketing collateral.
Phase 5 of e.g. monitoring financials and customer feedback, which is an infinitive loop.
